The mild winter's wreaked havoc on our sugarhouse. Less than half the usual harvest of maple syrup, and what we did get tastes like hot metal and must. It may be fit to feed to the pigs, but not to glaze the ham we make from them. There's no way around it: we'll need to buy some this year.
