Voici Rudy, un yéti. Il est apparu soudainement alors que j'étais en plein préparatifs de la fête des étoiles. Il a certes l'apparrrence d'un monstre, mais il semble plutôt inoffensif.
Entre nous, c'est moi qui l'ai baptisé ainsi ! Il refusait de s'éloigner de l'endroit où se tiendra la fête des étoiles, alors je l'ai intégré au décor en lui confectionnant une tenue avec des chutes de tissu. Et... j'ai fini par le trrrouver tout à fait adorable !

En fait, je suis venu en Éorzéa parce qu'un ami m'avait invité à boire un verre. J'aime faire la fête, et quand j'ai vu qu'il y en avait une pas loin de là où on se trouvait, je me suis dit que j'allais y participer. C'est là que j'ai surpris votre conversation.

Évidemment ! Je vais vous dire ce que j'ai compris... en interprétant un peu.
On se moquait tout le temps de lui parce qu'il était non seulement plus petit que ses frères, mais également parce qu'il était incapable de faire des boules de neige dignes de ce nom.
J'ai entendu dire que les yétis sont des monstres férrroces au souffle glacé, et qu'ils enterrent leurs victimes sous une épaisse couche de neige.

Hmm... Rudy vient d'une tribu qui vit dans les montagnes. Ils ne se battent pas et préfèrent se défier en comparant la taille de leurs boules de neige. À mon avis, il n'ont rien à voir avec cette bande de sauvages qui fait régner le chaos dans le Coerthas.
Il a dit aussi qu'il avait suivi des cours de confection de boules de neige en cachette. Mais un jour, il a glissé et est tombé d'une falaise. Ne sachant pas où il se trouvait, il a erré dans la montagne, erré dans la forêt... et ses forces ont fini par l'abandonner.
C'est à ce moment-là que le saint de Nymeia, un vieillard aux cheveux blancs, lui porta secours. Ce dernier lui dit qu'il se rendait à la fête des étoiles, avant de disparaître. Rudy décida de se rendre là où les festivités devaient avoir lieu afin de lui exprimer sa gratitude.

C'est lui qui distribue des cadeaux aux enfants lors de la fête des étoiles, mais j'ignore totalement où il se trouve à présent... Navrrrée, Rudy.

I would be a sad excuse for an auspice if I could not. So allow me to provide some enlightenment: it seems your furry little friend would entreat a favor of you.
To wit, he is troubled by the fact that he's a bit of a runt compared to his brothers. They hardly even treat him like a real yeti, making fun of him for the tiny snowballs he makes.
Snowballs? Indeed, I heard that yetis incapacitate and capture their prey by blowing frosty balls of snow and ice.

Your friend would politely point out that this is not true of all yetis. Rudy and his kin live peacefully deep in the mountains, a far cry from the savage beasts that roam Coerthas. They vie for supremacy amongst themselves not through violence, but by competing to see who can build the biggest snowballs.
Rudy was practicing making snowballs in secret to prove himself when he fell from a small precipice and got himself lost. He wandered the forest aimlessly for days, and had just about given up all hope when a white-haired fellow found and rescued him.
The kindly fellow in question was none other than the Saint of Nymeia, he says. Saved our poor Rudy before gallivanting off to the Starlight Celebration. Rudy, alas, didn't even get a chance to thank him. So now he wishes to find the saint and properly express his gratitude.
What a touching story. Truly, a Starlight miracle! And I do very much wish I could help, but...
I'm sorry, Rudy. I fear I haven't a clue where the saint is right now. He never sticks to one place for too long, you see. Always busy delivering gifts to children the realm over.

Rudy meint, seine Sippe lebe in einer weit abgelegenen Bergregion und wäre nicht so wild wie die anderen Yetis in Coerthas. Bei ihnen werden Streitigkeiten dadurch entschieden, wer den größten Schneeball formen kann.
Rudy hat deshalb das Schneeballrollen heimlich geübt, doch dabei ist er ausgerutscht, von einer Klippe gefallen und hat sich schließlich verlaufen. Er wanderte immer weiter, durch die Berge, durch den Wald, bis er völlig erschöpft war und nicht mehr weitergehen konnte.
Da kam ihm ein Mann mit weißen Haaren zu Hilfe, der sich als wandernder Pilger vorstellte und von dem Sternenlichtfest erzählte. Rudy ist gekommen, um sich bei seinem Retter zu bedanken.
Ach, was für eine rührende Geschichte! Es ist nur so, dass der wandernde Pilger nicht leicht zu finden ist.
Mein lieber Rudy, der wandernde Pilger beschenkt die Kinder jedes Jahr zum Sternenlichtfest. Aber niemand weiß, wo er sich aufhält und wann er in Erscheinung tritt.
