J'avais essayé de profiter de mon voyage précédent à Kholusia pour tenter de localiser le grand purgateur de l'île, mais sans succès, hélas...
Pour cette deuxième tentative, il me paraît souhaitable d'adopter une autre stratégie, même si aucune de celles que j'ai en tête ne garantit le succès. Avec le soutien de l'exarque en prime, je devrai également veiller à ne pas le compromettre en fourrant mon nez dans ce qui ne me regarde pas.
Par où commencer mes recherches en Amh Araeng ? Voilà une question épineuse... Probablement par ces quelques zones en ruines que je n'ai pas encore eu le temps d'explorer ?
Le moins qu'on puisse dire, c'est que Rak'tika est une forêt gigantesque. Minfilia et moi n'avons eu le temps d'en voir qu'une partie durant notre séjour, et c'est peut-être la première fois que je vais en explorer le cœur.
Je me demande quel genre de personne est Y'shtola...
Je me ferai un plaisir de vous guider jusqu'à notre destination, et de vous expliquer les circonstances dans lesquelles Y'shtola se trouve depuis son arrivée sur les lieux.

Vous y trouverez les vestiges de l'église de l'Aurore, lieu sacré d'une religion florissante sur tout le continent avant le déluge de Lumière.
Plus personne n'ose s'y aventurer de nos jours, ce qui signifie d'après moi que vous devriez pouvoir y récupérer une tablette de pierre incrustée dans l'autel de la salle principale. Emparez-vous-en et donnez-la à Y'shtola lorsque nous la reverrons.

Nous non plus ne nous attarderons pas très longtemps ici. Quant à Y'shtola, j'espère qu'elle saura quoi faire de la tablette.
M'est avis que ce fort mériterait une plus grande surveillance... Les hommes qui y montent présentement la garde sont en nombre suffisant pour éliminer des purgateurs errants, mais certainement pas pour repousser une éventuelle attaque de l'armée eulmorienne.
Je me disais qu'on pourrait leur apprendre à poser des pièges, à l'occasion... Il faudra que j'en parle à Lyna.
Je suis venue admirer ces vestiges de nombreuses fois au cours de mes voyages. Vous ne trouvez pas que les parapets ont une jolie forme, au fait ?

There is a church─or rather, the ruins of a church─at Fort Jobb. Might I ask that you go there before seeking out Y'shtola?

Yet within that hall there remains a tablet whose writings I believe may prove of use to Y'shtola. At the very least, such a relic would make a suitable gift for your reunion.

Ich habe auf Kholusia immer ein Ohr offengehalten, ob ich nicht etwas über den dortigen Lichtbringer in Erfahrung bringen könnte, aber nie aktiv nach ihm gesucht. Ich konnte ja nicht wissen, dass diese Information so wichtig werden würde.
Doch diesmal muss ich mir etwas einfallen lassen, wie der Lichtbringer dort aufzutreiben ist. Es wird bestimmt nicht leicht sein. Er muss spüren, dass die Jagd auf ihn begonnen hat.
Amh Araeng ist für mich kein fremdes Land mehr, aber es gibt viele Ruinen, die ich noch nie erkundet habe. Dort werde ich meine Suche beginnen.
Rak'tika ist gigantisch. Minfilia und ich sind eine Weile dort untergetaucht, aber wirklich tief sind wir nicht in den Wald eingedrungen. Jedenfalls nie weit genug, um einen seiner Bewohner zu Gesicht zu bekommen.
Y'shtola ist wirklich ein schöner Name. Wie sie wohl ist?
Ich werde euch geleiten. Unterwegs kann ich dir dann erzählen, wie es um Y'shtola steht.

Bevor ihr das Dickicht von Rak'tika betretet, möchte ich, dass ihr in der Jobb-Feste Halt macht.
Dort befindet sich die Ruine einer Kirche: die Kirche des Strahlenden Lichts. Bevor die Lichtflut unsere Kontinente verschlang, hatte sie eine große Gefolgschaft.
Jetzt ist das natürlich anders. Kaum jemand käme jetzt noch auf die Idee, die Gebetshalle zu betreten. Aber ich weiß, dass dort, versteckt in einer Schublade des Altars, eine Steintafel zu finden ist. Bitte, holt die Tafel und bringt sie Y'shtola. Als kleines Geschenk von mir.
Ein interessanter Abstecher. Also gut. Die Jobb-Feste liegt noch im Seenland, der Weg ist relativ sicher. Treffen wir uns dort wieder.
Wir werden auch bald aufbrechen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass Y'shtola mein kleines Geschenk zu schätzen weiß. Du weißt doch noch, oder? Die Steintafel im Altar der Kirche des Strahlenden Lichts.
Wir sollten auch hier in der Feste auf der Hut sein. Mir ist, als ob ich eulmorische Soldaten rieche.
Ich würde mich nicht wundern, wenn die Feiglinge uns eine Falle stellen würden. Besser, wir sagen auch Lyna Bescheid.
Wir sind auf unseren Reisen schon oft an solch verfallenen Kirchen vorbeigekommen. Ich muss dir unbedingt die Fenster zeigen, die sind immer sehr hübsch ... wenn sie noch ganz sind.
Zum Großen Wald ist es nicht mehr weit. Der Weg nördlich der Festung führt geradewegs dorthin.

ラケティカ大森林は、とにかく広いんだ。 俺とミンフィリアも、その一角に滞在したことはあるが、 正面切って拠点を訪ねるのは初めてかもしれないな。

そこには、光耀教会と呼ばれる、 「光の氾濫」以前に盛んに信仰されていた教会の、遺跡がある。
今はもう立ち入る者もいないが…… 礼拝所の祭壇の中に、ある石板が置かれているはずだ。 それを回収して、ヤ・シュトラへの手土産にするといい。
ふむ……。 それでは、私たちは、その「ジョッブ砦」で、 再度合流するといたしましょう。
私たちも、じきここを発とう。 件の石板があるのは、ジョッブ砦にある教会跡の祭壇の中だ。 ヤ・シュトラが気に入ってくれることを祈っているよ。
この砦、もう少し警備を厚くした方がいいかもしれないな。 はぐれ罪喰いの討伐には十分かもしれないが、 ユールモア軍が、再進攻してくる可能性だってあるんだ。
衛兵の数はかぎられているとしても、罠を張る方法もある。 折を見て、ライナに進言してみるか……。
